Toronja Williams' UPIC Keynote Adress: A Call to Action by Al Gore

A Global Warming Danger
in Our
Technological and Environmental Society

Most of the industrialists claim that the average global temperature this year is equal to the average global temperature of last year. Global warming is therefore, not a serious problem. However, many environmentalists rank global warming as the most serious current threat to the world's environment, citing evidence that over the past 30 years, the global temperature has risen an average of two degrees.
Al Gore, a former Vice President of the United States of America and a Nobel Peace Prize winner, gave a keynote address at the University Presidential Inauguration Conference (UPIC). Al Gore mentioned that global warming has been a matter of urgency and national security concern, thus, bringing the awareness of the danger with solutions for handling the climate change issue.
President Obama, although has not tapped Gore for his cabinet for any high level post in the administration, he continued to team up with Gore with the energy secretary and the Environmental Protection Agency administrators in occasion meetings to outline several energy goals as part of the $825 Billions massive “To Re-Power America” economic stimulus plan. “Global Warming is something that we must deal with now, not 10 or 20 years from now” urged Al Gore. He encouraged every American to conserve energy, thus, making America more cleaner and more efficient.
